I should have tried to start it again without anything in launch options just to see if it still didn't work, vanilla.
#Path of exile directx 11 update#
Was mentioned on the thread that an update could have fixed this too.

3) Power on VM and Install the latest vmtools in the guest, by click VM->Reinstall VMware Tools.

2) Upgrade VM to HW-v18, by right click the VM-> Manage-> Change Hardware compatibility -> Select WS 16.x. Or else I reckon the game just had to start right once to get the dx setting set correctly. DirectX 12 is backwards compatible with older versions of DirectX. To enable DX11 in guest, perform follow steps: 1) Shutdown the VM. Which is why I said "seems," since I can't tell now if something else didn't change in the last few days to cause the prompt. Go into the dx9 client and switch it to fullscreen windowed.

I removed PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 from launch options to see if it would fail as before, but now Path runs without it. Windows 10 dx12 can't use dx11 beta just crashes couple seconds after clicking play put it in admin nothing changes computer is fully updated got new PC no malware no virus no problem the old Poe version works fine out of ideas at this point. force-d3d9 did not help, when I last tried a few days ago.

With it, I was prompted to use dx9, rather than the game just shutting down without message. PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 seems to get Path of Exile running. If I was doing any of that correctly, then something else is the matter. if that doesn't help than i would recommend checking if the content of C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\CommonRedist\DirectX has been installed, simply try to execute DXSetup.exe as admin. I put these into launch options, one at a time: -dx9, -DX9, -force-d3d9, -directx9, -directx-9, -directx 9, -directx_9, -dxlevel 90. navigate to C:\Users\insertnamehere\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile, delete productionconfig.ini and try restarting. It will stop eventually and I cannot imagine this isn't reproducible.I'm reading it runs with DX9, for some people. Directx11s performs, even with the lowest possible settings, makes the game completely unplayable: Please either. Wait maybe 30 minutes and open the game again and see if it is hooking. However, with was only possible with Dx9. So what you do to reproduce is to open the game in question (make sure to have fps overlay turned on) and you know play for a bit and exit the game. I suspect it is some interaction there but what exactly, i dont know. It may be relevent to note that this started back when the last "Fall Creators Update" was released for Windows 10. I tried the latest version on the fresh install and no it suffers from the same issue. I can switch to windowed and it still says to click the recording target. After a while when you launch the game again, Bandicam simply refuses to hook it. See the thing is, it works the first time trying to record, maybe even the second time the game is launched. Hello everybody, today I woke up in the morning ready to check on my POE character to grind some maps and unfortunately I had to see that my game was running extremely bad with gamebreaking stuttering, running on more than 100 fps with sudden stuttering drops to about 30 fps. Make sure you right-click on it and select 'Run as Administrator'. This is an absolute fresh install with just steam, bandicam and path of exile. Run the DxSetup.exe in the Redist folder of Path of Exile.

I did a full fresh install of Windows 10 圆4 Home (with ISO, so deleted old partitions and remade etc, not just the built in reinstall option) updated fully, got latest nvidia driver (i do not use geforce experience, i always uncheck that). I put these into launch options, one at a time: -dx9, -DX9, -force-d3d9, -directx9, -directx-9, -directx 9, -directx9, -dxlevel 90. none are them are working properly, at least down to the versions that I can download. Im reading it runs with DX9, for some people. We are sorry to bother you, but please let us know if the problem also exists on the latest version of Bandicam which we released yesterday. is the only version you were able to record the game?
